Lucas is a husband, father of 6 boys, entrepreneur, and nationally recognized wealth advisor driven by purpose.
He has been married to his best friend, Becca, for almost 13 years. Together they are raising 6 strong, energetic boys: Matt (24, who now works alongside Lucas at Zion Capital), Brooks (11), Cole (9), Cruz (7), Callen (2.5), and Rhett (10 months). Family is not just something Lucas values. It is the foundation of everything he builds.
Lucas began his career in financial services in 2013. After earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Interpersonal Communication with a minor in Biblical Studies from Biola University, he and Becca moved to Northern California, where he built a thriving practice with Edward Jones. During that time, he earned the Accredited Asset Management Specialist™️ (AAMS®️), Chartered Retirement Planning Counselor™️ (CRPC®️), and in 2019 obtained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certification.
In 2023, Lucas made the bold decision to leave a successful career and launch his own independent firm, Zion Capital Wealth Management. Today, Zion Capital oversees families with a mission centered on stewardship, aligning wealth with values, and delivering massive value beyond investment performance alone.
Lucas has been recognized nationally for his leadership and growth in the financial industry. His honors include being named to the Forbes Top Next-Gen Advisors***, and the AdvisorHub Top 250 Next Gen Advisors lists in 2025****. He was also recognized for the 2026 LPL Financial Masters Club Level award, based on annual production. Lucas is also a Dave Ramsey SmartVestor Pro***** and a Certified Kingdom Advisor (CKA®️).
Beyond business, Lucas is deeply involved in his church, Calvary Bible in Grass Valley. After sensing a calling to step into worship leadership, he learned to play guitar, overcame his fear of singing publicly, and helped organize a community outreach event called “Church Without a Building.” He now serves regularly on the worship team and teaches the 5th and 6th grade class alongside his wife, Becca.
Lucas is intensely driven physically as well. He competes in HYROX events and ultra marathons and is passionate about discipline, endurance, and continual growth. He coaches his sons in baseball, basketball, flag football, and soccer, not simply to win games, but to build character, resilience, and work ethic. For Lucas, developing strong young men will always matter more than wins, stats, or trophies.
At the core of his work is a deep love for people. Lucas believes every person has a story, and great advising starts with listening. Clients who partner with Zion Capital can expect direct communication, holistic planning, and a fiduciary commitment rooted in integrity and conviction.
Lucas lives by three priorities: Faith, Family, and Business. In that order.
“I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.” — Psalm 34:1

***The Forbes ranking of Top Next-Generation Wealth Advisors, developed by SHOOK Research, is based on an algorithm of qualitative and quantitative data, rating thousands of wealth advisors born in or after 1980. Advisors are interviewed by telephone and in person to evaluate service models, investing process, experience levels and integrity. Additional factors considered include compliance record, client retention, revenues produced for their firms and assets managed. Portfolio performance is not a criterion due to varying client objectives and lack of audited data. Neither Forbes nor SHOOK receives a fee in exchange for rankings.
